Do you want me to teach you how to write?

Once upon a time is for fairytales. Also, there was "a dark and stormy night" once before*. The man who wrote it wrote another famous line. His name was Edward Bulwer-Lytton.

Men who write things abound. Women, too, write quite a bit, and lady writers were often telling stories as much as counting numbers, but who were the great lady philosophers!?

To write is to speak to another's mind. Speak briefly, men come in two kinds.

For instance, how much of a bang does, '"it was empty," he said," have for the average person?  Are we talking about a garden or a grave?  An alley way,  you get the picture. (And if not, all people get goosebumps when they get the picture, capiche?)

If you want to write well read prose, but edit like a newswriter.

"The walk was done barefoot, soles on a gray sidewalk" is passive.

"She walked on hot pavement, soles stinging on black tar." Is better.

I have four kinds of writing in mind. One is playful. It is poetrysomething which is as real as dancing! As real as music and stars! **

Beneath the veil, soul with all life. A soul very wide! It casts, as a net, a canopy over the earth. A blanket of inspiring stars! It is the creative spirit! And it knows all!

Poetry lives in all writing, because it is beautiful, organized, and rhythmic.

Inspirational things are valuable, and always great are hints of the divine.

Heart full of inspo, you're a Shakespeare.

For my reader

I wrote a little poem

To make a space go by

I wrote a little poem

to catch your bleary eye!

No, no Shakepeare.

Writing prose is harder than you think. Do not mess around with figurative language!

A genius is a rare thing, speak to all men.

If you are blessed with the ability to write and write and write and your talent is great, remember Tolstoy. We live on the word of a few as to his greatness.

Then, from divine inspiration; religion, philosophy and sciences. All can be severe. With many allusions to esoteric subjects. Knowing a little helps a lot.

And this writing? What is it!?

To the end of the world and back 💋

* The pen is mightier than the sword.
