Im sitting outside, and since I post my blogs a bit, Im excited to tell you that the familiar image of Reece Witherspoon is delighting me on this "perfect day"! It's literally like walking through a YouTube virtual reality, classical music, relaxation video. So beautiful!
Im writing today to make a.note of my religious stuff. But I gave the name a.nice cutesy title, so I felt a little less self conscious about how religious I am. I can't become a nun because I have student loans amd I cannot fit in with other regular people because I think about Jesus a lot. A lot.
This morning I was looking at the good Samaritin woman at the well story and I examined it pretty deeply. Thought about the man, and the woman, Samaratins who were a part of Jesus ministry. Read the part of the Bible where Jesus speaks to the woman at the well and took it all in. Her leaving her jar, her knowing about Jacob as a patriarch, her saying "you're a Jew talking to me?" Her knowing about the Messiah amd brining it up to Jesus first.
I am a very good Wiki reader. I open a lot of the links. I think most people would say it is a fine time to be alive where we regularly read the encyclopedia. Im sure there were odd people before who did that, but I'm just as sure I'm not the only one who does it now. So there are people running b around everywhere who "know things", and I think that's pretty cool.
Since I read about the Samaritins this morning and I saw there are discrepancies between them and the Jews over a certain important mountain, and since I had wanted to read numbers, I came to the conclusion that I have really tried hard to deeply understand and grasp the Bible as well as I would any book, because I believe myself to be a kind of lover of knowledge in the most accurate and educated way possible, like as to taking an important exam. And Numbers has a nice opening of the Bible position, all these mountain tops, and Balam is being asked to curse the people there in Isreal.
I thought, "wouldn't it be so cool to actually understand the whole thing" and I would if I could only sit and read quietly a book like I can a Wiki article. It seems a lot easier to get my 10 minute reads in on the phone.
Anyway, in the old days, God had those go to a mountaintop in Samaria to bless, amd some to another mountain to curse. I don't know why, because I only know a little bit here, amd a little bit there.
Makes for interesting thoughts though.
Speaking of mountains, holy mountains exist all over the world. You can find that on Wikipedia, too!
