On the end of the world

Surprisingly,  Judeo-Christian tradition isn't the only religious eschatology out there. There is the popular Ragnarok which will kill Thor and Loki, and the Native American and Eastern Indians also have an end of the world prophesy. (Having an end times prophecy may be a mark of a true religion.)

The amount of attention paid to this end of the world is grossly understated. It appears in more than 14 books of the bible, and there is an entire book named for Ezra in the Apochrypha dedicated solely to this subject matter.

The people who speak on the subject are grossly uninformed. The mark of the beast, possibly the mark of Cain,  is incredibly mistaken for a bar code or tattoo, when it is instead the mark of a bad person, a personality trait, and not only that, but Jesus call to behave in a judgement free and passive way also calls to mind the behavior expected of those who should refrain from interrupting the just judgement do Cain.

It is the "Whore of Babylon" who does evil to curse the good which we have been expecting, and the wars and signs are for Jesus arrival, but until that nothing but the sign of Noah, which stated clearly that the most of us will be enjoying life without knowing our impending doom.

Most people look at these things through the lense of ignorance. It takes, as the bible states plainly, wisdom to decipher these clues, wisdom as in knowledge, not wisdom as we see it, some precious pearls we have been hoarding and hiding from the fools we have to endure around and about us.

Much of the book of Isaiah discusses this as it prepares the way for Jesus. We know little about the hidden meanings hiding in the pages of the bible and possibly many other religious texts. Just last week I read that the Hopi may lie about their traditions to hide them from outsiders. Many religions hide or conceal their prophesy, and indeed both the book of Revelations and 2 Esdras (4 Ezra) were supposed to be "sealed up".

The mark of Cain as well as the Bread of Life go completely unnoticed by the masses for their portentous nature, so that the pagans can sing, "an unknowing church will amplify his call".

They no not the Greenman, or their own God for that matter.
