In 2031 it will be the 3000th anniversary of the death of King David. About that time. Right now we are still living in the anniversary of his life.
Today I was looking at videos of the great cathedrals in Rome. I started with Saint Paul of Rome. I visited this church online specifically because I pray the prayers of St. Brigitte of Sweden daily lately, and today I read the little explanation of their use and merit, in it there is the mention of St. Paul of Rome and the cross inside where she recieved the prayers, and I went right away to look because you can do that now.

This was one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen. Then I went to St. Mary Major. Wow.
Then we went and enjoyed a nice beer at the pub. I had 2 Guinness and said a Hail Mary for the dead because I drink a Guinness when someone passes away. It's my new custom.
Anyway, came home, played Ho Hey by the Lumineers because once on the radio wasn't enough. Then settled in and was ready for Saint Peter's. Wow. Double wow.
Yesterday I was prompted to look at the scripture in John 11 when Jesus weeps. It was extra intense because I had read something from ancient history on Saturday or Sunday that was, according to its Wiki article, "a lot like proverbs".
Jesus kind of quotes it but it's a bit different and kind of illuminated for me the interesting nature of that passage.
(You should look it up. It was like, "Flood Myth" on Wikipedia, then Baylonian tablet of shukurrah or something, Google that, read it. Then you have to read John.)

Anyway, so I am watching Saint Peter's and there's this very cool video with all the art history floor plans, brought me back to my college days. First they show where the obelisk is that they have in front of the church, an actual Egyptian obelisk from Caligulas time, it is one of 13 in Rome but the only one that has never fallen. At the end mostly, but then at the real end of the video, they are walking among the columns and it is eerie!!!!!!
I have seen Egypt and they have these columns. And I am reminded of my childhood. How I was fascinated by Moses and Egypt.
Incidentally, in 1991 it was 3000 years since 1010BC, King David's reign begins. Interesting. In numerology....
So I'm this pro- jew kid, lover of God Almighty most of my youth. I found out that Jews came to Georgia through Savannah in the earliest days. I lived, grew up in, a city with a large Jewish population. There were 2 nice Jewish private schools within a 5 mile radius from me when I left.
What I'm getting at it is I have seen the 10 Commandments and it is crazy thinking of God conquering these great lands. It is visible and wild walking in Rome through the forest of columns. You have to look at these in Egypt and Rome.
Incidentally, this obelisk outside Saint Peter's was once in the place Peter was crucified. They set up Saint Peter's to reflect and memorialize this event.
Anyway, I very shallowly went looking at the place the obelisk was from oroginally in Egypt. There are 3 Gods there, according to an article that may be wrong. They represent 3 Gods of Sunrise, Sunset and Noon. Then something about the bird which represents resurrection. This reminds me of Jesus statement in John.
After all this I was flipping around on TV, there was this bluegrass music in Shawshank Redemption. It was ssoooooooo cool. I had to write about it. After that moment at Saint Peter's. Thinking of my life, my childhood in Jewish Sandy Springs, my years of hardship as a young mother in East Tennessee, then the saga of our life here again in Atlanta. These were my own epics. It was very enlightening and kind of beautiful. Very very beautiful 😍
