"Fall dead in the desert" childlike curse of one character. The desert where she lived as child, with its terrible vastness and poverty.

As a child, she was always terrified of the desert with its secrets, mirages, plants that grew without water, with spikes and the occasional flower.

Standing on the boundary lines men made, looking out for miles on places that did not lie about their treachery. Unwelcome as we felt. We knew we had no chance out there. It could be the end, getting lost out there.

The world had blossomed well in Arizona where the river rushed along through one side and into the next. The heat blasted out nature here and allowed a little there.

I mean tonwrite about the sun stopping the earth

The sun sees the people and the sun watches them light their candles, their lamps, watches them flip on switches.

The light was such a nice treat, glowing faces on Christmas morning, the chords with their tiny drops of sparkling light, dancing out of the glass, splashing on walls.

What could be next?
